Job goes pending when insufficient number of drives are available.

Symptoms

Attempt to perform multi-stream auxilary copy using tape media goes pending or fails.

Causes

Job requires multiple tape drives to complete.  Required drives are not available due to use by other jobs or insufficient number of available drives in the library.

Resolution

Job will usually restart once sufficient number of drives becomes available. Failure may occur during an auxliary copy opertion with the same source/destination library using a tape library with only a single drive.  In the case of a tape library having insufficient number of installed/operational drives, the solution is the either increase the number of installed/operational drives or use another library with sufficient number of drives.
